1. Calculating Your Total Wattage Load
List every appliance intended to run during outages:
- Ceiling Fan: 65W to 75W (BLDC fans only consume 28W - 35W)
- LED Light Bulb: 15W to 20W
- LED TV (43-inch): 60W to 80W
- Wi-Fi Router: 10W
2. Sizing the Inverter (VA Rating)
Divide your total operational wattage by a Power Factor of 0.8 to determine the required Inverter VA. For instance, a 500W load needs at least a 650VA to 800VA inverter to operate safely with reserve headroom.
3. Selecting the Right Tubular Battery
Ordinary automotive car batteries are designed for brief high-amp cranking and will fail in months if used for deep discharge cycles. Always insist on Tall Tubular Solar Deep Cycle Batteries offering 1200+ discharge cycles.
